The Alumnae of NU Awards Five Graduate Fellowships

EVANSTON, Ill. --- The Alumnae of Northwestern University has selected five recipients to receive 2025 Graduate Fellowships for graduate-level tuition. The fellowships are awarded to full-time students in terminal master’s degree programs who show promise of achieving distinction in careers that will serve the public good. Criteria for selection include quality of scholarship, leadership, community service, professional experience, and financial need.

Nancy Rotering Receives Alumnae Award from The Alumnae of Northwestern University

“As the 49th recipient of our Alumnae Award, Nancy will join a distinguished group of women bringing honor to the women of Northwestern University,” says The Alumnae president Carol Willis. Rotering has fought to reduce gun violence for more than a decade, including leading the Highland Park City Council in passing a municipal assault weapons and large capacity magazine ban in 2013, which withstood a legal challenge by the National Rifle Association (NRA) in federal court.

Sixteen Students Awarded Alumnae Undergraduate Research Grants

EVANSTON, Ill. --- The Alumnae of Northwestern University is pleased to honor 16 students who have been named as recipients of the Alumnae Undergraduate Research Grants for 2024. Funding for these grants comes from The Alumnae Centennial Endowment for Undergraduate Research, established in 2016 to commemorate the organization’s 100th anniversary.

The Alumnae Awards Seven Academic Enrichment Grants for 2024-25

EVANSTON, Ill. --- The Alumnae of Northwestern University has awarded funding for seven projects that will bring guest artists and distinguished scholars and speakers to campus to enhance the undergraduate experience during the 2024-2025 academic year. The grants, totaling more than $29,000, are funded with earnings from the Academic Enrichment Endowment, established in 1990 as one of The Alumnae’s 75th Anniversary gifts to the University.
