"It takes a long time to stay here: Paintings by Jordan Craig"
The Artist Talk at 6 p.m. Wednesday, February, 26, 2025, will celebrate the opening of a solo exhibition of Craig's large-scale paintings, titled:  "It takes a long time to stay here: Paintings by Jordan Craig," on view at the Block's Alsdorf Gallery from January 25 through April 13, 2025. m.s. RedCherries , a poet, is a friend and a collaborator of the artist, whose poem "Spinning Air" inspired the title of the exhibition.
 
The 90-minute, February talk will be moderated by Jordan Poorman Cocker, an enrolled member of the Kiowa Tribe, who is the Curator of Indigenous Art at the Crystal Bridges Museum, Bentoville, Arkansas, and The Block's 2021-2024 Terra Foundation Guest Co-Curator of Indigenous Art.
 
In May 2024 The Alumnae awarded an Academic Enrichment Grant to the Block Museum.  The grant went towards the funding of the guest artist's opening talk.
