"The Beyond: The Vision of Georgia O'Keeffe" is a work in progress, which will be performed from May 29 through May 31, 2026, at the Wirtz Center for the Performing Arts' Hal and Martha Hyer Wallis Theater, 1949 Campus Drive, Evanston campus.  "The new play asks what it means to see as an artist explores through the vision of the monumental American artist Georgia O'Keeffe"

The School of Communication's Jessica Thebus, professor of theater and program director, received funding from The Alumnae of Northwestern University's Academic Enrichment Grant last spring for this project, which she created with Julie Marie Myatt, Harrison Lewis, Jeff Hancock, Chloe Johnston, Cheyenne Casebier, and the Northwestern community. Thebus is also co-director with Julie Marie Myatt. Music by Harrison Lewis.
