Eun Hee Kim, assistant professor of instruction, and Chin-Hung Chang, associate professor of instruction, both teach in the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, and their Curriculum Enhancements will include "Chatbots for Korean and Chinese classes". Sarah Owsley Sood is a professor of instruction and associate chair for undergraduate education in the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science.
EVANSTON, Ill. --- Kathy Reichs, American crime writer, forensic anthropologist and academic, is the recipient of The Alumnae of Northwestern University’s 2023 Alumnae Award. The award, established in 1976, is presented annually to an outstanding alumna who has made significant contributions in her field and who has attained national recognition.
Evanston, Ill.—The Alumnae of Northwestern University has selected eight students to receive the 2023-2024 Alumnae STEM Scholarships, which are awarded to students who excel in a STEM discipline: including science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Criteria for selection include academic excellence, honors achieved, and financial need.

The fellowships are awarded to full-time students in terminal master’s degree programs who show promise of achieving distinction in careers that will serve the public good. This year’s grant recipients came from Alumni Relations and Development; Bienen School of Music; the Block Museum; School of Communication in Qatar; McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science; Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications; and Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, among others.
EVANSTON, Ill. --- Nina Kraus, Hugh Knowles Professor of Communication Sciences, Neurobiology, and Otolaryngology, is the recipient of The Alumnae of Northwestern University’s 2022 Alumnae Award. As a biologist and amateur musician, she thinks about sound and brain health. Kraus is a role model for women in science and technology.
